Why it matters
A giving day gives you a reason to ask that people already understand, and a deadline that makes them act. The best results come from preparation, not the day itself: a matching gift lined up in advance, the appeal written two weeks out, and posts planned for morning, midday and evening.
The day after matters most. Thank every giving day donor within two days, and treat first-time donors as the start of a relationship, not a line in a total.
How Steward shows it
Fundraising has a GivingTuesday campaign template. It works out this year's date (the Tuesday after US Thanksgiving), sets up a campaign page, and adds a dated plan of tasks for your team, from drafting the appeal to thanking every donor. Nothing the template creates sends anything.
