Peer-to-peer

Peer-to-peer is where you run a walk, a ride or any campaign where supporters raise money on their own pages, alone or in teams.

What this screen is for

Peer-to-peer sits under Fundraising, in Campaigns & pages, and has its own entry in the sidebar under Raise. A peer-to-peer campaign is a giving page with peer-to-peer turned on. Supporters sign up from the public page, make their own fundraiser page, and can start or join a team. This screen shows one campaign at a time: what it has raised, every team and fundraiser against their goal, and who has not raised anything yet, so someone can pick up the phone.

Start a campaign

  1. Click "New peer-to-peer campaign".
  2. Fill in the "Name", and if you want, a "Goal ($)" and "Ends on" date.
  3. Check the "Public page address". It comes from the name, and if it is taken, Steward adds a number.
  4. Tick "New fundraiser pages need approval before they go public" if you want to see each page first.
  5. Click "Make the campaign". An existing giving page that is "Not peer-to-peer yet" can be switched on with "Turn it on".

Add a team or a fundraiser yourself

  1. Under Teams, click "Add a team", give it a name and a goal, and save.
  2. Under Fundraisers, click "Add a fundraiser", type "Their name", "Their email", a goal and a team if there is one, then click "Add".
  3. Steward finds the person by email, or adds them as a new person. Nobody is emailed. Use "Copy their manage link" to pass the link on yourself.

Encourage the people who have not started

  1. Look at the card that says how many fundraisers have not raised anything yet. It lists them by name.
  2. Open a fundraiser's options to see a suggested note, and click "Open in my mail" to write it from your own email.
  3. If you need approval on, new pages wait for you: click "Approve" on each. "Take it down" hides a page and "Put it back" restores it.

What the numbers mean

Raised: everything given through this campaign's page, added up from the gift rows themselves.

Through people: what came in through fundraisers' own pages.

Given directly: what was given to the campaign page without a fundraiser.

Click "Raised" to see what it is made of: through teams, through fundraisers with no team, and given to the page directly. These three always add up to the total.

A fundraiser's Raised: every gift given through that fundraiser's own page, added up to the cent.

"Fundraisers CSV" downloads the list of fundraisers for a spreadsheet.

What Steward doesn't do here

Steward does not email your fundraisers for you. Notes open in your own mail, and adding a fundraiser sends nothing. A fundraiser is matched to a person in your records by exact email only; one shown as "no record matched" has no soft credit recorded until their email matches someone on file.
